Srishti Sharma: 18-Year-Old Limbo Skating Prodigy Defying Odds and Breaking Records

In limbo skating, skaters must overcome multiple obstacles with immense dedication and balance.

For 18-year-old Srishti Sharma, who keeps breaking her own world records, obstacles and challenges have been a part of her life since childhood.

Srishti's father, Dharmendra Sharma, is a driver by profession. Despite financial struggles, he never let them stand in the way of his daughter's dreams, nor did he pay heed to societal criticism.

To train Srishti in skating, he took a loan of ₹7 lakh. In return, his daughter made history—not once, but seven times—by registering her name in the Guinness Book of World Records for limbo skating. She didn’t just make her father proud but also brought honor to India.

Srishti, from Nagpur, is the first girl in the world to have her name recorded in the Guinness World Records for Ice Limbo Skating. She has been skating since the age of four. Once again, she has created history by completing 50-meter limbo skating in just 9.59 seconds!

Srishti's success proves that when parents support their children’s dreams, challenges become easier, and victory becomes inevitable. Or, in Srishti Sharma’s own style, dreams get their own pair of skates!
